NLYC Respectful Workplace Latest News

On Oct 21, 2009, contacts with NLYC’s Respectful Workplace Program attended an information session on Responding to Bullying in the Workplace. Heather White, of the provincial RWP, along with Darrell Hayward, the program’s newest coordinator facilitated.

The session gave staff members an opportunity to explore the dynamics that reinforce bullying behavior in the workplace as well as reflect on their own approach to communication and boundary setting. Participants explored approaches for responding to these behaviors as well as ways of creating and sustaining safe, proactive work cultures.

These information sessions better enable your RWP contacts to assist you in various workplace conflicts. Remember you can contact any of these people whenever an issue arises for you.

Plans are underway for upcoming information sessions on the Employee Assistance Program and how it functions as well as refreshers in interpersonal conflict resolution.
