Legislative Counsel - Department of Justice

Responsible for:

Drafting Bills and regulations for government;

Advising and assisting committees of the House of Assembly, committees of Cabinet, members of the House of Assembly and officials of departments on matters related to government Bills;

Editing and overseeing the printing of Bills, annual statute books and office consolidations of statutes and regulations;

Preparing and maintaining consolidated versions of the province's Acts and regulations, including the versions available online;

Preparing periodic revisions of statutes and regulations.
