Fish and Wildlife Enforcement

Protecting our Fish and Wildlife for Future Generations

The Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Division is responsible for the enforcement of provincial and federal laws and regulations relating to our fish and wildlife resources.  Not only is our hunting and fishing world renowned, but it is a part of our heritage. Poaching is one of the major threats to our fish and wildlife.  It is important that we continue to protect these resources for future generations. You can do your part by reporting suspected poaching activity anonymously by calling toll-free to 1-877-820-0999.  Officers are available on a 24/7 basis to receive your call. Tips to report poaching

If you have any general enquiries or questions about hunting or angling rules - or related legislation -  you may contact one of our regional offices:

Eastern Newfoundland        (709) 729-8332

Western Newfoundland      (709) 637-8088

Labrador                              (709) 944-4898

The public is reminded to report any serious motor vehicle accidents involving wildlife to either the Royal Canadian Mounted Police or the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
