REPORT POACHING
Poaching is a serious problem in Newfoundland and Labrador, but it is one that you can help prevent. Our fish and wildlife are valuable resources that are owned by the people of this province. Fish and Wildlife Enforcement relies on citizen reports to help apprehend suspected poachers - together we can protect the abundance of our fish and wildlife resources enjoyed by so many in our province. Our officers target the more serious illegal hunting and fishing activities and the trafficking of inland fish and wildlife. Such activities negatively impact the health of our fish and wildlife populations and take away from our enjoyment to enjoy these resources.
Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Officers seek assistance from the public in reporting any illegal activities, and timely, accurate information is critical for successful apprehension of the violator. Any member of the public who sees or suspects resource abuse should safely take note of as much information as possible and because of the apparent dangers it is not advisable for members of the public to approach suspected poachers.
You can help protect our fish and wildlife resources by reporting any suspected poaching or illegal activity anonymously and toll free to 1-877-820-0999. Officers are available on a 24/7 basis to receive reports.
